Mission statement
Our mission is to strengthen our fighters both physically and spiritually.
Boxing
Renaissance 4:13 Boxing & Fitness Academy is dedicated to bringing back the “Old School” skills of boxing training.
Students will master punching combos, elusive defense (rolling, slipping, weaving, blocking punches), and lightning fast foot work while using angles. Learn the skills to cut off the ring and throw precision punches with amazing accuracy/timing. By combining these traditional skills with flexibility training and strength/conditioning sports science, we can and will teach you to master the art of boxing.
We train both adults and children from the ages of 6 and up. Everyone is trained according to their current conditioning level and how quickly they are developing. There is no rush or requirement to compete. Learn the art, appreciate the art, and master the art. Then enjoy the self-confidence, discipline, and empowerment you will achieve. So whether you are a serious fighter or just want to stay in shape, we have the right program for you.
Muay Thai
Our conditioning and technique training includes warm-ups, strength and conditioning drills, pad and bag work along with technical instruction from a long time Muay Thai practitioner. Sparring is optional and done at separate times for students who want to complete when they feel ready.
Strength & Conditioning
The strength and conditioning program will focus on improving speed, agility, explosive power, strength and anaerobic capacity. Training speed and agility will improve your footwork and coordination. Developing explosive power and strength will enhance the recruitment of your fast twitch muscle fibers, essential for a powerful punches and for holding your ground in defense. The stronger and fitter you are, the more resilient you’ll be from sustaining an injury, and the better you’ll recover during a fight.
Garimot Arnis/Kali -Filipino Martial Arts
Training covers empty-hand self-defense (striking, locking, throwing, etc.) as well as the trademark single and double stick techniques of the Filipino martial arts. Other aspects of the art include espada y daga (sword and dagger fighting), sinawali (double stick weaving patterns), and tapi-tapi (locking drills with the stick).
